Gaurav runs the London Marathon for Philippa

Since the beginning of January I’ve been eating leaves and of course, going on the occasional run. It's 4am and I stand opposite the mirror admiring my progress. I guess being able to see my man sausage is a good sign. However unlike others, all this trouble and effort hasn’t entirely been to fit into ultra skinny Kanye style leather black jeans….

On the 26th of April, over thirty thousand people will take to the streets of London for the Marathon, and in this colossal flock of runners you may be able to see me, waddling, or trying to run for a cause that is very close to my heart.

I’m running for Philippa.

Needless to say, Philippa’s intellect and smile had left many people amazed. Those that had met her were left with a lasting impression; few would have guessed she was battling with depression. It is those very caged up thoughts that had led Philippa to take her own life.

It is such an unfortunate fact that thousands of victims in the UK alone continue to confine dark thoughts to their minds, hiding their depression from those that sincerely care.

So where do you come into this?

I want to help MIND continue their fantastic work supporting people with mental illnesses. I am running the London Marathon 2015 to raise much needed funds for this amazing charity, so that we can do whatever we can to help save the lives of others who are suffering as Philippa did.
