Welcome to my fundraising page and thank you for taking the time to check it out. 
My name is Richard and I have signed up to take part in this ride from London to Amsterdam in memory of my cousin Jessica. 
When I was first asked to take part in this ride the only answer I was ever really going to give was yes, despite some trepidation due to my lack of cycling ability. However, the more I thought about it, the motivation to do something positive, in light of the struggle experienced by Jessica and those who continue to deal with mental health conditions, was the only factor I felt necessary to consider.  Commitment made, I signed up and then went out and bought a bike to begin the task of getting in shape!
I am lucky to be taking part in this ride with one of my close friends Kat Route-Stephens, as well as other members of my family, and friends of the family. All of whom are showing great commitment to making a real difference by supporting MIND, a charity that supports those in need of help as well as working to break down barriers and the stigma associated with mental health conditions. 
If you had told me years ago that we would be without my beautiful and gifted cousin on her 30th Birthday, I would not have been able to imagine it and so if the funds we raise from this event helps to ensure that even one family is spared the loss of someone as special to them as Jessie was to us, then it will be worth it a million times over.
Thank you for whatever you have been able to give in support of this great cause. The other riders and I will draw strength from your support as we take on the challenge and Ride for Jessie.
