2019 Half Marathon

Event date

17th November 2019

It's been a little while since I did any fundraising so I thought it's about time I tried to conquer my first half marathon! I'll be running the 13.1 miles at Snetterton Race Track on 17th November 2019.

If you're on this page then I'm sure you'll know the story; my family and I fundraise for Mind in memory of my brother Ian who took his own life on September 12th 2011. We live still with an Ian-shaped hole in our lives.

Mental health services should be provided by the government through taxes, but they are chronically underfunded and overlooked. It therefore falls to charities like Mind to provide that support. Their work really is invaluable in filling that under-financed void.

As a family, we have found fundraising a really positive way to remain proactive and encourage conversation about mental health and the work of Mind.
