I have created this page in memory of our baby sister Chloe who on the 22nd November 2017, 4 weeks before her 17th birthday decided to end her own life. 

To celebrate the life of our wonderful sister and to acknowledge the happiness and friendship she gave all of us in a life cut short,  Chloe’s 3 sisters will be running the great manchester run on the 20th May 2018. Along side this her brother in laws and friends will be doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge in the summer and will be using this page to raise donations for mind 

By doing this run and walk we are wanting to raise money for Mind to help people like Chloe in the future and raise awareness of mental health which we strongly believe needs to be talked about and understood and for everyone to realise it is ok not to be ok, there is people out there to help, and we are not alone. 

As a family we were unaware of how deeply unhappy Chloe had been, we are a family of 4 sisters, a loving mum and supportive step dad; and at one point or another in our lives have all struggled with mental health issues but together we believed we could get through anything. I struggle to understand why she felt she couldnt turn to one of us in her lowest points. Despite this I hope she knew how much she was loved by all of us. In the weeks after, it came to light that a few close friends were aware of how low Chloe was feeling.. this is the hardest thing to come to terms with; if just one person had spoke up I may not be creating this page today. 

We want to raise awerness for all those who feel they cannot speak to family or friends or are aware of any one who feels this way there is help out there.

On a personal note I have realised the lack of funding in mental health and the long waiting lists has to be a factor for why this is happening to so many people, I myself have tried signing up to counceling my doctor recommended only to go on to their website to be faced with a banner advising they are closed for new applicants, how many people in destress have been faced with this and believe there is no one there to help and has resulted in a devataing outcome
