Universally adored and currently in a parallel universe, Stephen ('The Doctor') was the most amazing husband, original thinker and inspiration to all those with whom he came into contact. He gave tirelessly to raising awareness of mental health issues at the highest level. A quote from our dear friend Kate Nash OBE highlights the contribution he made to the Royal Mail disability panel:

He used both his strong sense of justice as well as his evidential based approach to change in ways that were breathtaking.  He was a strong and persistent advocate for people with mental health conditions and leaves a legacy of firm commitments from Royal Mail – his family, friends and loved ones must be so proud of his work.  And, for all his professional success it is his humour, kindness and loving support that I as chair of the RM panel, as well as his colleagues, miss so much."
