Remembering Hannah

My favourite memory

memory image

Hannah would be 42 now. She is gone but not forgotten, and this Space is for you to remember.

Hannah's death on June 28 1997 was beyond any imaginable grief.  She lost her way during exams at university, aged 21, and followed the path her father had taken 15 years before - resorting to suicide when times were tough. "Suicide is catching".

She was a most adorable person, highly intelligent with a wicked sense of humour.  She was much loved by many many people, and greatly missed to this day.

She loved her father very much (see photo) and never really got over his death.  Her brother, Aaron, adored her, and never really got over her death, following her to his death 14 years later (see separate Memory Space for him).  Her mum keeps their memory safe, in a sad sad heart.

"The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars,

As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven,

Would through the airy region stream so bright,

That birds would sing, and think it were not right".

Romeo and Juliet, II, 2, 61.
